A Hero's Journey

We were asked in our online class to watch a 22-minute video called "A Hero's Journey." What I took away from watching the video is that life is precious. Life can be taken away from us at any given moment and I feel we really need to not take our life for granted. We have a journey here on earth and we have one life to live it up. We are here to learn, to grow & to enjoy life to the fullest. I feel like each of us are on different paths and we are all in it together. In his talk, he talked about how he believed that some people in the very room that he was in, will be people who will change the world for the better. He talked about how he wanted to make a difference & he didn't know how to start. He also asked himself if he really has what it takes to succeed in life. He mentioned that we all have missions here on earth. A mission that will succeed our wildest dreams. In the talk, he said we will be able to succeed if we find our entrepreneurial calling. Most of us are worried about the wrong things. He mentions we could miss an opportunity of a lifetime if we don't find our entrepreneurial calling. This talk helped me to realize what I need to do in my life to strive to want to find my entrepreneurial calling and live an important mission on earth with meaning.

Week 11 - Hopkins Family issue

It really got me thinking when I read about the mini case study on Hopkins family issue. This was the issue -  "For as long as he could remember, David Hopkins wanted to be a successful high school football coach. He even dreamed of joining the college ranks one day. In late 2000, after having achieved an enviable win-loss record at a smaller school, he was named as the head football coach at a large West Texas high school that had a long tradition of winning state championships.
